150 Attendees, 33 Mentors, 9 Judges, 20 Organizers, 100 pizzas, 800 sandwiches, months of preparations and countless sleepless nights… all this for Startup Weekend Krakow 2012! That was such an amazing weekend! 3 days of pitching, working, talking, planning, designing, creating…

Startup Weekend was a meeting of developers, designers, marketing professionals, entrepreneurs, startup enthusiasts, who came to meet, share their ideas, form teams, develop products and to finally launch startups. It all took place during an unique weekend, during 54 hours. We hope that the 1st edition of SWKrakow allowed the participants not only to establish business contacts, exchange experiences, but also to spend time in the company of interesting people with similar interests.

We hope to meet you during next editions of Startup Weekend or during other conferences organized by the PROIDEA Foundation.

  It’s time for GENERAL IDEA PRESENTATION – you can use slides, photos, screenshots.




• 2 minutes:
  DEMO TIME – if you have a working prototype of your product, this is the time to show it. You have to talk about it – explain how it works. NOTE: You cannot use these 2 minutes for slides/photos/screenshots – DEMO ONLY!




• 3 minutes:
  QUESTIONS&ANSWERS – time for judges to ask you as many questions as they manage to ask you in 3 minutes.




• You can use first 3 minutes (GENERAL IDEA PRESENTATION) to present your prototype, but if you do so, you cannot use DEMO TIME (next 2 minutes) for slides/photos/screenshots.

You need your login and password for voting. You will find it in your event IDs!

The only reasonable place to leave your car is Galeria Krakowska’s parking lot (located near Main Railway Station and about 400-500 meters away from European Tischner University – Galeria’s webpage) – but remember! You have to pay 2PLN/0,5EUR for the first 2 hours and 4PLN/1EUR for every next hour. If you leave your car for the whole day – it will cost you 50PLN/12EUR (they do not charge you more than 50PLN/12EUR for the whole day).

That is why the best way to get to us is by tram or by bus. The bus/tram stops located nearby are called Poczta Główna and Dworzec Główny. Lines that you can take to get there, are:

Poczta Główna: 1, 7, 10, 12, 13, 19, 24, 40 (tram lines) and 609, 614 and 904 (bus lines).

Dworzec Główny: 2, 4, 10, 12, 14, 15, 20, 40 (tram lines) and 124, 152, 424, 601, 605, 608, 609, 618 (bus lines)

European Tischner University is located really near that stops, about 100-200 meters.
